PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
Working within a heritage redevelopment involves coordinating new architectural elements with existing fabric and the project’s design intent. Glass and metal balustrades provide distinct approaches for circulation spaces and stairs.

KOHL CAPABILITIES
Glass and metal balustrades meet existing fabric and circulation routes in a heritage setting. We consider site access, interfaces and the programme when planning work with project teams.

OUR APPROACH
Our team can discuss coordination, product protection and the details needed to prepare the relevant package for handover.
For suitable systems, factory-prepared components can reduce some on-site fabrication. The approach depends on the system and project conditions.
The Locomotive Workshop received 2023 NSW Architecture Awards commendations for Commercial Architecture and Heritage. These commendations recognise the project and design team.
