Projects / Opus Broadbeach

BROADBEACH, QUEENSLAND
Located on Chelsea Avenue in Broadbeach, Opus brings 113 apartments across 27 levels to the Gold Coast. Its coastal setting and residential amenity call for architectural details that work together across private balconies and shared spaces.
For Morris Property Group, KOHL’s project scope brought together glass balustrades, aluminium acoustic balustrades, privacy screens and pool fencing — a collection of elements that connects the residential facade with the development’s shared outdoor areas.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
Residential towers bring together repeated balcony interfaces, privacy requirements and shared amenity spaces. For project teams, the relationship between each balustrade or screen, the surrounding finishes and the supporting structure is an important part of coordinating the package.
ARCHITECTURAL INTERPRETATIONS
KOHL CAPABILITIES
Glass and acoustic balustrades, screens and pool fencing meet private and shared residential spaces. We consider site access, interfaces and the programme when planning work with project teams.

OUR APPROACH
Our team can discuss coordination, product protection and the details needed to prepare the relevant package for handover.
For suitable systems, factory-prepared components can reduce some on-site fabrication. The approach depends on the system and project conditions.
